As a teacher, it is my job to teach in such a way that the learning inspires my students to continually want to learn more.  I believe in the self-fulfilling prophecy where students who are believed in, will strive. 

     Having had the opportunity to work with students across the spectrum ranging from general education to special education, and from Kindergarten to middle school, I know when I need to raise the bar, and I know when I need to scaffold.

     I believe my greatest assets are that I am calm under pressure, I have endless patience and I have great skills in redirecting challenging behavior.    The way in which I creatively present the Common Core curriculum raises the students' interest levels. They are further excited to participate in the grade level curriculum and beyond. Above all, I have the ability to connect with each student in a personal way so that the learning process has no bounds.        

     Every student is unique, and will be treated with kindness and respect in my classroom. I want each one to know that I am there for them. I want to create an atmosphere of trust with my students so that they will feel safe working with me. Together we will reach their goals and they will realize that life's possibilities are endless.
